Establishment of the Committee

ICSU and WMO sent out a letter of invitation to their communities to nominate appropriate individuals to be members of the Joint Committee

The committee membership was agreed in October 2004, chaired jointly by ICSU and WMO nominations and including ex officio representation from IASC, SCAR, IOC, WMO and ICSU.
