17-08-04 ICSU and WMO seek nominations for the IPY Joint Committee

The ICSU Executive Board and the WMO Executive Council have agreed to establish an IPY Joint Committee (JC) for planning and coordination of IPY 2007-2008. The committee will be formed by October 2004 and will take over from the IPY Planning Group which finishes its term in October. ICSU are inviting the nominatation of candidates for the JC before a deadline of September 6, 2004. Fuller details can be found at Joint Committee under the International tab of the website.
