The IPO Director and IPO Administrator are now in post

The IPY Programme Office at British Antarctic Survey, Cambridge, is now coming online with new staff taking up full time positions.

The Director of the IPO is Dr David Carlson (previously of the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado)who takes up his new post on May 9. He has previously been a Director of the Atmospheric Technology Division of NCAR and was Director of the TOGA COARE International Project Office managing a successful multi-year programme on Tropical Ocean Global Atmosphere interactions.

Nicola Munro is the new IPO administrator and has been in post since the beginning of May. Nicola is dealing with all the administration for the IPO and is a first point of contact via the IPY website Contact page. She has a degree in Geography and experience of GIS as well as office administration and customer relations.
